Wilson, Kevin Peter 'Kip" 1954 - 2003

Kevin Peter Wilson, 49

Kevin ("Kip") Peter Wilson
was born on June 13, 1954, in
Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He grew
up in Bonners Ferry with his
mom and dad and three brothers.
His grandparents, aunts,
uncles and cousins played a
big part in his life, often getting
together to fish, swim, and
picnic.
He was a Boy Scout, attending
the National Jamboree in
1969 and an altar boy at St.
Ann's Church. His volunteer
spirit led into his adult life for
the Illowa 0owa-Illinois) Boy
Scouts and Girl Scouts of the
Mississippi Valley, and just
about anything with which he
was asked to help.
Kip attended elementary and
high school in Bonners Ferry,
where he met Trinka
Lederhos. They were married
June 23, 1973, before his second
year at the University of
Idaho.
Upon graduation Kip went
on pharmacy school, later
practicing as a pharmacist
throughout medical school at
Texas College of Osteopathic
Medicine, where he graduated
Magna Cum Laude. He completed
his internship, during
which he became interested in
anesthesiology, three years
later finishing his residency.
During this time, he joined the
Army Reserve, serving on
Active Duty during Desert
Storm. He was honorably discharged
as Major.
His practice in anesthesia
began in 1989, with a move to
Bettendorf, Iowa. .His studies
further led to a practice in pain
management. He enjoyed helping
his patients, some of whom
had suffered for many years
before coming to see him.
He served as Medical
Director for Genesis Pain
Center and President of
Anesthesia and Analgesia.
Kip loved to spend time with
his family, fishing in the mountains
of Idaho and Montana.
He shared his love of flight
with family and friends. He
took on many projects while at
home.
He once built a helicopter in
the garage, and was working
on building a plane, while at
the same time tiling the
kitchen floor and painting the
house. His interests and talents
were unending. He was an
inspiration to his children and
friends.
He is survived by his wife,
Trinka; his four children,
Kelly, Brandt, Lauren, and
Olivia; his mother, Rhoda; his
brothers, Duff, Tim, and Neal;
Duff's wife Kay; Kip's children
by marriage, Geof Greenway,
Lisa Wilson; Lauren's fiance,
Jorey; Kip's and Trinka's
grandson, William Greenway;
Kip's aunts, uncles, cousins,
nieces, nephews, and his
Lederhos family. His friends
were also his family and will
miss him.
We love you, Kippy.
