Violet Edwards Washburn

Violet Washburn died on May 28, 1981 at the Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. June 3, at the Copeland Cemetery, with Rev. Larry Nelson officiating.
Violet was born March 19, 1891 to Hircam and Louisa Edwards in Curry, Iron County, Wisconsin. She attended schools in Curry and in 1907 she moved to Copeland, Idaho.
On February 19, 1908, she married Volney Warren (Babe) Washburn in Porthill, Idaho, they made their home in Copeland. She lived on the farm until moving to Bonners Ferry in 1948 where she resided until her death.
Washburn enjoyed gardening, talking with her friends, hunting and fishing with her husband and also playing pinochle.
Washbun is survived by one son, Warren Washburn of Bonners Ferry and three daughters, Mertie Jensen and Bernadine Richards of Bonners Ferry and Marjorie LaRuche of Colene, Texas. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband , one daughter , one son, one sister and several brothers.
