Graveside service for Roger Arnold Steen, 63, will be today at 11 a.m. at the McArthur Cemetery in Naples, Idaho. Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Steen, who was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, died Monday. He was raised and educated in Spokane and graduated from high school there. He later served with the Indian Head Division of the Army during the Korean Conflict and fought at Pork Chop Hill. He logged near Naples, worked construction in Spokane and moved to Spirit Lake in 1987.
Mr. Steen enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include a son, John of Spirit Lake; three brothers, Alvin of Sandpoint, Gordon of Seattle and David of Greenacres; six sisters, Esther Bratten of Everett, Alice Merz of Odessa, Wash., Arlene Helsing of Cheney, Edith Poquette and Inez Derington, both of Spokane, and Eveliend Reeve of Liberty Lake; and one grandson.
