U.S. Veteran Monty McCay (58) passed away at the Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on July 10, 2009. On Friday July 10th our beloved Monty McCay lost his battle with cancer and COPD, he was 58.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 30, 1950 he attended Princeton High where he was a member of their elite track and field team until he joined the Army and Special Forces in 1968. During his service in Vietnam he was awarded several medals to include the Vietnam Service medal with 3 bronze stars, an air medal and expert rifleman to mention only a few.
He is so very deeply missed and loved by all those who survived him. Mother Lillie McCay, father William McCay three sisters Billie Jean, Linda and Lillian; and all of his ten daughters Katie, Jessica, Stacey, Monica, Evelyn, Lillian, Carolyn, Tricia, Fiona and Juanita and son in laws Nathan Johnson and Scott Ickus.
His talent for art was a gift and we will cherish all he left behind.
We hope his dream of being able to help others will one day be realized through myself, surviving wife Renee McCay and our children.
