Kidd, Anne Theresa Mooney 1918 - 2005

Anne Theresa Mooney Kidd, 87, died April 19, 2005, at Boundary Community Hospital. Internment was in Grandview Cemetery April 20, with a Mass following at St. Ann’s Catholic Church on April 21.

Anne was born to Edward and Annie Mooney in Pakenham, Ontario, Canada. When she was 12, the family moved to Huntington Long Island, New York. After graduation from Huntington High School, Anna worked as a secretary in a law office in Northport Long Island, New York.

In 1940, she married John L. Kidd, who was in the Army Air Corp. They lived in Northport until John was stationed elsewhere, and after moving around during the war years, John went back to flying for American Airlines, and they moved back to Northport, where they raised their three children until 1955, when the family moved to Garden Grove, California.

In 1968, Anne and John bought a home in Bonners Ferry, where the spent their summers, wintering in Garden Grove.

Anne was a devout Catholic. She enjoyed golf and gardening. Anne was very close to her siblings. She and John enjoyed traveling.

Anne is survived by daughter Jolle Anne Wall and husband Don, Brookings, Oregon; son David Victor Kidd, Manila, California; grandchildren Duane Wall, Novato, California, David Wall and wife Nydel, Bonners Ferry, Tobin Wall, Spirit Lake, Jennifer Neumayer and husband John, Bonners Ferry, Lorna Kidd, Arcada, California, and Peter Kidd and Tim Kidd, both of Paradise, California. She had nine great-grandchildren.

Her parents, her husband, two brothers, four sisters and son John Douglas Kidd preceded her in death. Since John’s death June 8, 2003, Anne resided with her grandson, David Wall, who along with his wife, Nydel, cared for her.
