Beulah Rae Anglen, 90, Bonners Ferry, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at the Boundary County Nursing Home in Bonners Ferry. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 24, at the First Baptist Church in Bonners Ferry with interment following in the Grandview Cemetery.
Beulah was born on April 26, 1914, in Glade, Kansas, to William Wesley and Blanche W. (Gingles) Pruitt. She was raised in Kansas until she moved with her family to Bonners Ferry in 1933. After her graduation she did domestic jobs in the area and worked in the hospital on the north side of Bonners Ferry.
On September 7, 1935, she married Ralph E. Anglen in Bonners Ferry and they moved to Ft. Peck, Montana. In 1939 they returned to Idaho and resided on the North Bench until 1965, when they moved to the Southside of Bonners Ferry.
At the age of 87 she moved to the Restorium with husband Ralph and then later to the Extended Care Facility.
She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church and assisted in Vacation Bible School for years. She will be remembered as a good and kind mother and mother-in-law, an exceptional grandmother, a good cook and homemaker all her adult life.
She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her son Eldon Anglen and wife Carol, Cottonwood, Idaho; Grandchildren Darrell Anglen, Viola, Idaho; Darla Anglen-Whitley, Cottonwoo; Darren Anglen, Meridian, Idaho; sisters Edith Poelstra, Sandpoint, and Myrna Asay, Malad, Idaho; 10 great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband Ralph preceded Beulah in death April 14, 2004. Also preceding her in death was her infant daughter Phyllis in 1938; brothers Wayne, Bus, and Leo Pruitt, and two sisters Helen Olson and Dora Plumlee.
